Update from today's appointment

Made it down there safe and sound and home again safe and sound

The weather wasn't that bad until we hit st. cloud on the way home then it started showing up so your prayers must have helped so whoever prays last night thank you very very much

My appointment went very well I got down there exactly at 11 which I wasn't supposed to be there until 1 but they got me in right away so I could go home right away cuz of the weather

We are very excited on how this pump is placed in the side of my stomach

We have not had any trouble finding the port when it needs to be filled which is a great accomplishment compared to the other pump

So the next time I will be heading down to get my pump filled and meet with the doctor is on Saint Patrick's Day the 17th of March and when I go down there and I will also be talking to the doctor about my arm situation they do have all my records them and I made sure of that today and they are sitting on the doctor's desk so she can take a look at them so we can figure out where to go with my arm

I do have a sore on the back of my back that is pretty close to where the tube is in my back but we're taking care of it and more than likely I will be going to a wound specialist to get it cleaned out and hopefully healed up and maybe is some special care things that I can do to take care of if it should happen again

We are not sure why it happens but it happens every winter I get a sore on my back

Both my team of doctors down here and in the cities know about it so we are taking care of it and if I need to update again soon I will update but as of now I'm doing fantastic and feeling fantastic just a little tired but that's to be expected after getting my pump filled

well I'm not confident in the answer I got tonight

I called over to the Sports Center this morning to ask about my CT scan

Long story short with that phone call this morning I did not get very far so I told them that if I did not hear anything by Monday I would be calling back and demanding some answers

Will I'm sitting here watching TV tonight and its almost 6:30 quarter to seven the phone rings and it's the sports clinic calling to tell me the results of my CT scan

Now I thought that was a little weird on the time for them to be calling me back at almost 7 p.m. on a Thursday night

Note to self I am NOT happy with this clinic or how they're handling my situation does not make me feel comfortable at all

Let me see if I can explain this in a way that you will understand because really the way she explained it I don't really understand but I will do my best friends

Now this is what she kind of told me and I hope I can explain it enough so you understand

And let me make abundantly clear that I am NOT confident in this answer

I am definitely getting another opinion

The doctors that looked at the CT scan think that I'm losing my cartilage in my joints

But they are not confident with that answer

They also said that it could be coming from my neck all the pain could be stemming from my neck their

So their solution to this is going under that special x-ray machine again and shooting some cortisone into my shoulder to see if the pain goes away if the pain goes away is my shoulder and if the pain doesn't go away it’s my neck

I do not feel comfortable with this answer my intuition is telling me there is something more going on

So here's what's going to happen I'm getting a release of information from the hospital and everything that has to do with this appointment that I had on Thursday and everything that have that has to do with my pump going back to 2009 when I had it put in is being sent down to courage Kenny and I'm going down there and we're going to figure out what is going on with either my neck or my shoulder because I do not like that answer I got from this doctor or team of people that looked at the CT scan

Now that I sit here and think about it after I got the results of or some sort of answer from this doctor I think it is a combination of something going on with my shoulder and something going on with my neck due to all the complications I had when I had the first pump put in .....in 2009

I think there is damage somewhere in my neck and in my shoulder because of this and it's starting to come back and bite me and say we don't feel good and this needs to be taken care of

It’s painful and hurts it suck sand I really want the answers whether I really don't like them or not and if I have to go through test just figure it out we're going to figure it out

I think that's all for now friends I have to go and digest this information and really really think about this.

So I ask from you tonight please keep me in your thoughts and your prayers I know I asked you this a lot but believe it or not it helps me get through everything doing with all these issues

It's great to see all of you here and I think it's great to see all the new likes on this page is wonderful and it makes me feel extremely happy that I'm making a difference in someone's life

Its Misty here I just wanted to come by and post a little message and say thank you for all the support

And I also wanted to let you know that I almost have 3 boxes of key chains that are ready to be mailed so that means we will be mailing out 300 keychains pretty soon

But as of right now it looks like it will be after the holidays so that means it will be after Thanksgiving and after Christmas it is important that we realize that this time of year is hard for all of us financially

But I promise once the holidays are over these boxes of keychains will be mailed

it's kind of a cool thing on owning your own little business you can mail things when you want to mail them and make someone smile when you can

my hope with the new year coming is that we can continue donating and sending out little gifts but as always this page and what we are doing at me Misty's key chains is done with donations now I know it is the holiday season but please consider donating to Misty's key chains
